A Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputy was hurt in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 601 near Gheen Road. The deputy was taken to the hospital for treatment. No other vehicles were involved. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the accident.

🚨Deputy Involved in Single Vehicle Crash🚨
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (November 10, 2025) – On Monday, November 10, 2025 at approximately 6:58 pm, a deputy with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a single vehicle traffic crash, at 5970 US Highway 601. The vehicle reportedly left the roadway, struck a small culvert and a couple of trees before rolling over multiple times.
On scene assessment by medical crews would indicate that the deputy was suffering from a medical condition that caused him to lose control of the vehicle. He was transported to Novant Rowan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The NC Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the exact cause of the crash.
